Visitors looking to explore the area’s Swedish heritage are invited to the 150th anniversary celebration of the New Sweden Lutheran Church April 26 at 12809 New Sweden Church Road in Manor. The day’s activities begin at 10:30 a.m. with worship in the sanctuary, followed by lunch in the Parish Hall. A monument dedication will be held at 1:30 p.m. in front of the church, followed by the main celebration at 2 p.m. with coffee and cookies in the Parish Hall.
